Highline IV

My team worked for Thai Yarnyon Design Center and continued this project from predecessors. They had finished a central partition design before resigning. We continued to design all other parts which I was involved to the whole design of this partition.

Sketches

The design phase was started from sketching with concerning all original Caravele standard structures. The concept is Simple and Luxury. All entertainment devices were embedded together on a center of the partition. Together with simple appearance side panels, they make the interior wide and comfortable. Smooth and soft curves together with delicate surfaces dominate this partition for the executive style.

CAD Design

The key sketches were followed by CAD development. To get closer to the reality, all touching points must be accurate. Every instruments must be able to fit perfectly on the new structure of B-pillar as well as the partition. With virtual aid from computer, we could simulate all hinges and confirm they work flawlessly. By coordinating with the engineer team, every parts were guaranteed to suit to manufacturing criteria and could be efficiently assembled.

After the CAD model was completed, all data was transferred to the engineer team. All parts were milled for data, and were built by modeling team. With skillful craftsmanship, they assembled all parts together perfectly. Our team had to pay attention to all touching points, every fittings and hinges. When any flaw was founded such as loose fitting or fail to operate, we fixed it on CAD model before a production phase.

Space and Atmosphere Design

The whole passenger area was design to be very private. Double sheets glasses between passenger- and driver-cabin can absorb sound when passengers enjoy the entertainment features located around them. Passengers can relax with smooth and comfortable, offered by VIP seat and slide-able footrest in front of them. The backrest angle together with other parts of the seat can adjusted by control panel located on the tip of an armrest. Easy, Comfortable and Relaxing.

Executive Feature

When entering the Caravelle Highline IV, passengers will find themselves surrounded by various practical functions which were designed for executive luxury lifestyle. The private cabin contains full business utility features such as a mobile phone sockets with equipped charger inside and fold-able tables with electrical outlet for laptop located behind them. Footrest can be removed for comfortable use of laptop computer in business hours.
