Sketches

The design of the front bumper accessory. Firstly, we extended an air intake, moved lower fog-lamps forward to add horizontal elements. Applying chrome border line around air intake helped adding more value while the over fenders enlarged the front proportion. Two tone colours was available for customers.

Sketches

At side view we added length of the proportion by blacken the b-pillar to connected front and rear windows as a single element. Small over-fender gave a good proportion of wheels appearance. Turn to rear accessories, original rear bumper was too bulky, so we split it into two colours and decreased rear foglamps size. Accentuated the contrast of the rear by using chrome exhaust, it also creating more value. Finally, add compact spoiler to extend roof line.

Model Making

From sketches to mock up model. Started with running drawing tape on the car to check an overall proportion. Then modeler team shaped all accessories by foams and putties. To communicate with modelers about surface configuration, many retouched images were used as communication tools.

Mock up

Our team managed to develop the car in 2 directions, this provide alternatives for management officer. First direction was a fashionable car which we had changed over-fenders and some part of bumpers to another colour and added graphic into wing mirrors. In contrast, the second direction was choosen to be composed in a simple style with single colour and softer front bumper.
